Chris Lewis Switched back to Loop from 670g – Artificial Pancreas #Nightscout

Posted on September 16, 2018 by admincml

Hello folks,

The 670g is not for me… I gave it a 3-month run before switching back to Loop. Read more about Loop here: https://loopkit.github.io/loopdocs/

My experience and opinion: The 670g guardian CGM sensor was not even close to the Dexcom G5 in accuracy, ease of use, and comfort. The 670g pump is amazing, as a pump in manual mode, but in AutoMode this pump is like a needy ex-girlfriend who is in constant need of attention and always need to make sure you’re ok. I prefer the size of the 722 paradigm pump better and the Artificial Pancreas functions in Loop app. Loop just handles business based off your Dexcom glucose reading and the algorithm adjusted perfectly. My A1C got worse vs Loop A1C. I’ve been back on Loop for 6 months and the 670g is now my backup pump.

Racing Update: The CDVIDEOWEB team had to take some time off this year Racing and running Time Attack as the family, work and overall life seem to take priority. Racing is very expensive and sometimes you have to shovel funds in a different direction. That’s what’s happening in 2018 for CDVIDEOWEB. On the Brightside, the CDVIDEOWEB Porsche 911 is going into the shop (Precision Motion) to get a full tech inspection, tune-up,  and some maintenance done. We might be joining Porsche Club running Time Attack at Chuckwalla Raceway in October 2018.

Finger’s crossed.
